Online Learning Advantage
What are the advantages of online learning?
The primary advantage of online learning is that it’s flexible. You can access your course from anywhere, at any time. The other advantage of online learning is that, for some students, it’s easier to participate in class discussions via a computer and a mouse rather than live and in-person. For some, they feel more open to participate this way, and view it as a non-threatening way to ask questions they may otherwise be hesitant to in front of a group.
Your virtual class will be very similar to a traditional one, except without the commuting issues and travel time. You will have reading assignments, class discussions via discussion threads or online chat, and presentations. You can also form study groups and meet in a chat room to study and compare notes. You will have access to class notes 24/7. Your instructor will be available to you at established times for “office hours.” All can be accomplished from the comfort and convenience of your home.
Some of your coursework will be portable; downloadable modules are available so you can listen and learn on-the-go, whether you’re running to the market or on your way to your clinical rotation.
Roseman’s ABSN program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. (NLNAC) just like the university’s traditional BSN program. It also has the same approval from the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
